I think it was Spiro Agnew who came up with the title Bleeding Heart Liberal. Unfortunately it mostly describes my political philosophy. Anyway I have used this moniker on Babble for at least 3 years now.
I was raised in an NDP household. I have voted NDP in every election except once I voted Liberal in an Alberta provincial election. I also joined the PCs in 1992 to vote against Ralph Klein. I drive a Volvo.
On the other hand, I am a doctor. I make a lot of money. 2 years ago I became a corporation to pay less taxes. I have a mutual fund and own real estate. Not that it means much anymore but I am a millionaire.
I also find myself getting extremely upset with the homeless in my neighbourhood lately. I even pointed out the help-wanted sign on the door of the Tim Horton's to the guy who asked me for spare change outside their doors.
It seems like everybody has a blog so I thought I would try one. It took me a while to figure out Goggle's blogging but I think I have it. I will be posting sporadically my observations on life. I actually wanted to be a journalist until somebody pointed out the difference in job prospects and salaries between journalism and medicine.
